I was able to quit heroin in 2012 for about nine months, which sounds nice, but the way I did it was with meth. I still used heroin every few days to outweigh the stimulation, but I successfully didn’t get strung out on opiates using this method. I did, however, get demonically addicted to speed, which took me down a path so dark I eventually went crawling back to heroin with my tail between my legs. It turns out replacing one of the worst drugs known to man with another one of the worst drugs known to man isn’t the best long term solution. Despite this, I walked away from meth with some of the best stories I can recall. One of these stories involved me starring in my first “film”, but it’s not something I plan on adding to my IMDb anytime soon.
